Global Collaboration: Bridging Continents

This year’s theme, “Forging a Sustainable Future,” reflects the shared mission of the global forging community. The event will include presentations, networking, and five plant tours across Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, and Türkiye. “These tours showcase the diversity and strength of European forging operations,” Hain said. “We hope to see strong participation from North America.” Hain, who attended Forge Fair 2025 in Cleveland, sees great potential for transatlantic collaboration. “I was impressed by the quality of presentations and the innovation on display,” he said. “There are unique strengths on both sides of the Atlantic. We have much to learn from each other.”

EUROFORGE’s vision of collaboration extends beyond Europe’s borders. In 2025, the organization will host the International Forging Congress in partnership with FIA and ASIAFORGE. The event, held every three years, rotates between the three major forging associations. “This congress is where the global forging family comes together,” Hain said. “No matter the political tensions, we share knowledge, benchmark innovations, and build friendships that transcend borders.”

Forging University is an eLearning platform provided by FIA. It is available free of charge for FIA Members, government (.gov email) officials, military (.mil email) members, and professors and students (.edu email). Nonmembers can purchase access to training courses for a fee.
