Ellwood Crankshaft Group For Krista Tuttle, forging has become a family experience. A longtime member of the Ellwood Crankshaft Group team, Krista is spending the summer working alongside her children, Taylor and Conner, who joined Ellwood National Crankshaft as summer helpers. Through hands-on experience, they are learning about the teamwork, craftsmanship and precision required to manufacture critical forged components used around the world. Their story reflects the importance of introducing the next generation to careers in manufacturing while passing along the pride and knowledge that sustain the industry. At Ellwood, investing in people means creating opportunities, strengthening families and helping build the future of American forging.

North American Forgemasters At North American Forgemasters, Doug Peters, a multiskilled operator, represents the coordination and expertise required to safely produce large, critical forged components. During the pictured operation, the team cogged a 26-by-30-inch billet into a 17.125-inch outside-diameter round bar, using multiple manipulators to improve efficiency and help control production costs. Success depends on far more than powerful equipment: clear, continuous communication between the press operator and manipulator operators is essential to maintaining precise control of the material while keeping the operation safe and productive. The smile on his face shows the pride in a job well done and the image itself reflects the skill, teamwork and attention to detail behind every forging produced.
