Hear it from MDI graduates:
MDI forces you to get out of your comfort zone and experience business from a changed perspective. I was able to take back pieces of each session and apply it immediately to my work. There is also no greater networking opportunity than sitting shoulder to shoulder with forgers and vendors alike to problem solve on critical issues outside of our usual areas of work. The connections made during this course are people I will continue to reach out to years after it’s finished. - Henry Brewer, Operations Manager, Cornell Forge I highly recommend the Management Development Institute for any new manager or supervisor, or anyone who is on track to step in a supervisory role. The course is a comprehensive overview of skills that are required to be successful in those types of roles. Forrest Large is a knowledgeable, impactful, entertaining facilitator who forces participants outside their comfort zone
The experience I had with MDI was incredible. It’s very hands-on, in the best way. Forrest does a fantastic job at getting the group involved in learning from one another. And the different lead topics and speakers were great. It really pushed me to think about how I am and how I want to be as a manager. Times are ever evolving and changing which means management styles need to evolve and change. You never stop learning and growing. And I wish this had more training sessions
to it, because I have taken so much back from it. I met great people and gained genuine connections with our group and think the FIA has done a great job with the Management Development Institute and I highly recommend it to all levels of managers, from new to 30+ year experienced managers. – Candice Schraer, Controller, Crossroads Steel Supply
in a way that is non-threatening. He really ties the training modules together and ensures graduates recall lessons learned for years to come. – Chelsea Lantto, President, Trenton Forging Company
