MARCOS MATTIELLO APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF GERDAU SPECIAL STEEL NORTH AMERICA Mattiello Will Maintain Focus on Guaranteeing Safe Operations and Executing the Division’s Strategic Roadmap

E ffective January 1, 2026, Marcos Zilles Mattiello has been appointed the new president of Gerdau Special Steel North America, replacing Rodrigo Belloc who will continue working for Gerdau as the Industrial, Engineering and HSE Vice President. Previously, Mattiello was CEO of Gerdau Siderperu, the company’s steel producing operation in Peru. Belloc will work closely with Mattiello to ensure a smooth transition for all of Gerdau’s stakeholders.

Mattiello is recognized for his leadership and ability to deliver consistent results through the development of high-performing teams. His experience in operations and his strategic vision will be essential to continue strengthening Gerdau’s business in North America. Mattiello joined Gerdau in 2007 at the company’s Riograndense plant in Brazil and has held various leadership positions in the areas of quality, downstream, and operations throughout his career. He served as director of operations at the company's former plant in the Dominican Republic and plant manager of the company’s Charlotte, N.C. plant prior to his most recent role as the leader of the company’s Peruvian operation. About Gerdau Gerdau Special Steel North America produces SBQ (special bar quality) steel for the automotive commercial vehicle, agricultural, construction, distribution, energy and defense markets. The division headquarters is based in Jackson, Mich., and it operates steel manufacturing plants in Monroe, Mich. and Fort Smith, Ark., and has additional steel processing and heat treatment facilities in Jackson, Mich. and Huntington, Ind. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gerdau.
