This workshop will act to introduce participants to the different types of mechanical presses. It will provide an explanation of the various elements of the press to provide an understanding of how they work and their interaction and influence on other parts of the press forging process. The emphasis of this workshop is predictive and preventative maintenance of the elements of the press, how to improve the uptime of your machines, and items that should be taken into consideration when planning a repair.

First Line Supervisor is the bridge between the line staff and management. The First Line Supervisor is the person who communicates with both groups on a continuous basis. It is the First Line Supervisor who is first able to sense the morale of the line staff, find a policy or procedure that is not working as written, improve incorrect staffing patterns, or observe changes in the make-up of the offenders, etc. It is important for management to understand that their First Line Supervisors are the group that keeps the company performing at its highest level.
