FIAWelcomes New Board Members By FIA Staff

The Forging Industry Association (FIA) has announced Douglas G. McIntyre, President & CEO, Weber Metals Inc. as the new FIA Chairman of the Board. Additionally, Dan Ulven, President, Ulven Forging Incorporated has been appointed Vice Chairman; Chelsea Lantto, President, Trenton Forging Company has been appointed Secretary and remains on the Executive Committee; and Pete Campbell, President, Campbell Press Repair, has been appointed to the Executive Committee. In addition, FIA is pleased to welcome four new members to its FIA Board of Directors, and four new members to its Forging Industry Educational and Research Foundation (FIERF) Board of Trustees. The new board directors and trustees were nominated by the FIA Nominating Committee and voted in by the membership. The newly elected FIA Board Directors are: • James Romeo, President, Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation • Perry Bennett, General Manager, Asahi Bluegrass Forge • Jim Kravec, Exec. Dir. Business Development, Weldaloy Products Company • Mark Candy, Vice President of Sales, Eaton Steel Bar Company The newly elected FIERF Board Trustees are: • Ray Nejadfard, Dean & Executive Director, Cuyahoga Community College • Ashleigh Walters, President, Onex, Inc. (Trustee and FIERF Executive Committee) • Perry Bennett, General Manager, Asahi Bluegrass Forge • Jim Kravec, Exec. Dir. Business Development, Weldaloy Products Company Gregory J. Heim, President of Modern Forge Indiana LLC has been appointed President of FIERF; Kester Clarke, Associate Professor at Colorado School of Mines has been appointed Vice President; and Robert Brodhead, Director of Engineering, American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. remains on the FIERF Executive Committee. “As we enter a new year and look forward to a future with COVID-19 under control, FIA’s staff will work hand-in-hand with both the FIA Board of Directors and the FIERF Board of Trustees to provide guidance, information, training, resources, and more to our FIA members, and the forging industry at large” said James R.
