Mint Steel Forge Originally founded as Mint Tool Corp. nearly thirty years ago in the city of Detroit, Mint Steel Forge continues a tradition of offering precision cold forged and extruded solutions to difficult-to-form steel components. Working with a wide array of carbon and alloy steels, Mint’s expertise is reflected in the close tolerance, thin walled components they supply. In addition to the many hollow, cup

like parts they manufacture, Mint Steel Forge also has extensive experience producing forged-in blind splines, as well as other internal, non-cylindrical shapes. Billet or pre-form preparation can be approached using either precision, automatic cutoff saws, or by using multi station cold forming machines. This latter approach allows us to generate non-traditional shapes ready for final forming. Finish forming is accomplished in their press department, where machines ranging from 110 to 800 tons take advantage of numeric controls to allow for quick setups and precise adjustment. Schilling Forge Inc. Schilling Forge has been a valued supplier of precision forgings for more than 25 years. Operating 11 forging hammers and 5 screw presses; they work with both hot and warm forgings, and supply a wide variety of products to many industries.

Continuing in their German forging heritage, they specialize in close-tolerance, shallow cavity forgings. From their selection of more than 700 patterns, forgings are supplied in stainless steel, alloy steels, and plain carbon steel, however, high-tech or specialty alloys may also be used to suit your requirements. Schilling Forge products are normally supplied in a "stress relieved" and straightened condition ready to be finished. They maintain a fully functional toolroom which includes multi-axis CNC milling machines, wire EDM, digitizing, grinding, and heat treating capabilities.
