Take Advantage of FIA Membership Benefits Networking Network with your forging industry peers at FIA conferences and events, including annual conferences (Fall and Spring), and regional meetings. FIA also hosts Forge Fair, North America’s largest forging industry trade show. See additional events on page 80 of this issue. FIA Members have access to the FIA Membership Directory, which is an interactive online publication that is regularly updated to include contacts at every FIA Member company. Participation in FIA’s standing committees is an additional way that members can engage with their industry peers. The association’s current standing committees include Plant Engineering, Lightweight Alloys, Marketing, Public Policy, Safety, Technical, Workforce Development, Next Gen andWomen in Forging. Training &Education FIA training resources provide members and their entire organization with opportunities to educate and upskill their employees. The association offers Forging University, which is an eLearning platform accessible 24/7 to members. In addition, in-person training events, webinars and custom training programs are available year-round. Benchmarking FIA produces industry benchmarking reports and surveys that enable member companies to measure their performance against the industry at large. Reports address safety, compensation and benefits; and orders and shipments data. Member companies can forecast their business based on industry standards. Requests for Quotation FIA offers members the opportunity to receive requests for quotations (RFQs) over the internet quickly and easily. The requests go directly to the FIAmembers who opt in to receive the RFQs. Purchasing professionals can then receive bids fromFIA forging producers to manufacture their components. Workforce Development FIA’s online Forging Career Center allows members to post jobs and internships free of charge.The platformalso allows hiringmanagers to search resumes in the database. Job seekers can share their resumes, apply for jobs and get job alerts.
