CSD is a 100% female owned industrial engineering company that, when it started, largely only created electrical drawings for a plant expansion a customer was undertaking over 20 years ago. CSD moved into programming and production reporting in Over the last ten years, CSD has made forging a major focus of their business. During that time, for one customer or another, we have built every piece of a forging line. They have learned the importance of selecting the correct material for picking and placing hot and cold parts. CSD has also learned the nuances of forging from saw unloading through the finishing line.They have learned that forging plants are very hot, rugged environments, and anything placed in those environments must stand up to that challenge. Robotics and automation are what they do, and manufacturing is where they live daily. CSD knows the importance of not always replacing people but, at times, instead, building robotically automated systems to work alongside people and help make the plant floor a safer and easier place to reside and function. FIA Member Spotlight – Control System Design (CSD) 2004 and moved into complete equipment build in 2010. Today CSD has evolved into a design and build company that builds anything from a small stand-alone process to a complete production line. CSD is an authorized FANUC Robotics Integrator, and everything they build, they design in AutoCAD Inventor 3D.
