AI is a development in computer science that is implemented in machines to accomplish tasks that involve human intelligence. AI is considered a general-use technology and functions using logic and reasoning and is being broadly developed for various applica tions and use cases. The most common types of AI are Reactive – programmed to provide predictable outputs based on inputs received, and Limited Memory – learning from the past and building knowl edge by observing actions. The focus of this article is ChatGPT, created by OpenAI, a research and deployment company. What makes this guide unique is that it was developed using ChatGPT. The application itself described its function and provided instructions and examples for how to use it. What is ChatGPT? ChatGPT is an AI-powered conversational model developed by OpenAI. It is a variant of the GPT (Generative Pretrained Trans former) architecture, which is a type of language model that uses deep learning techniques to generate text. ChatGPT is specifically designed to handle conversational text, such as what you might see in a chatroom or a customer service chatbot. Given an initial prompt or context, it generates a response that continues the conversation in a semantically coherent and rele vant manner. The model is trained on a massive dataset of text data taken from the internet and has learned the patterns and structures of language, allowing it to generate coherent and natural-sounding responses to a wide range of topics. By fine-tuning the pre-trained model on specific tasks or domains, it can be adapted to various applications such as customer service, personal assistance, and even creative writing. How Does ChatGPT Work? As a language model developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT works by using deep learning techniques to generate text based on patterns it has seen in the data it was trained on. When a user inputs text, the application analyzes it and then generates an output that is a continu ation of that text, while trying to make it semantically coherent and in line with the given context. More specifically, ChatGPT is a transformer-based model that was trained on a massive dataset of over 45 terabytes of text data taken from the internet. The training process involved using a variant of the transformer architecture, which is a type of neural network designed to handle sequential data like text. During training, ChatGPT was exposed to a wide variety of text and learned to predict the next word in a sequence given the previous words, while also considering the context and meaning.
