Slacan Industries Inc.

Slacan Industries Inc. was founded in 1912 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to supply Pole line Hardware for the growing electrical utility and communication markets. They serve the electrical utility and communication market with a complete line of distribution, EHV Trans mission, other Poleline hardware, and Substation and structural steelwork.

Their primary focus continues to be the highest quality line hardware supplier. Knowledge gained from over 100 years of forging, stamping, and machining has allowed entry into many other markets. Their OEM focus is farm equipment and mining, although several other markets are served. By acquiring Cross Canada Electric, Slacan expanded its product line into substation design and manufacture. This complements manufacturing other structural transmission components such as steel crossarms, davit arms and anchoring assemblies. Slacan’s Quality Management System is registered by SAI Global to ISO 9001:2015, Certificate #CERT-0124188. SLACAN also maintains the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification for our welding processes. Trace-A-Matic produces precision CNC machined parts and assemblies for manufacturers in the aerospace, defense, and military, food processing and pharmaceutical, heavy equip ment, medical equipment, mining, oil and gas, power generation, transportation, and general industrial markets.
