FORGING RESEARCH
the Technical Committee. I want to take a moment and thank Graham for his many years of leadership and service and thank Jim for graciously accepting the role as chair. I look forward to working with Amanda and Jim moving forward as we continue to provide opportunities for projects and scholarships to our Magnet Schools. I would be remiss if I did not mention Forge Fair, which as you can imagine, has been top of mind for everyone at FIA since the April Annual Meeting. I look forward to seeing many of you there this year, Forge Fair years are always a busier time for everyone at FIA, a lot of planning and meetings go into the event thanks to the efforts of our team. Having participated for several years as an attendee, having the new perspective as a member of staff gives me renewed appreciation for this event where we all come together for a week. With the quarterly cadence our magazine has, my last update came right before the winter solstice, so it seems fitting that this update comes to you right before the summer solstice. I look forward to the opportunities this season will certainly bring, and anything that is relevant to the industry we will of course continue to share as soon as we can. With the longer days ahead, I for one look forward to spending more time outside. May you be surrounded by good company this summer, with a cool breeze ever at your back.
