2019 Charles W. Finkl Scholarship Recipient

2019 Charles W. Finkl Scholarship recipient Lidaou Ali recently stopped by the FIA Headquarters with a thank you note that was gratefully received by FIERF Executive Director, Karen Lewis. Lidaou is a senior in Mechanical Engineering at Cleveland State University this year planning to graduate over the summer in 2020. He shared that FIERF Magnet School Professor, Tushar Bokar, sparked his interest in the forging industry. “Professor Bokar was so passionate when he was talking to me about it that I was also fascinated. That whole new perspective really changed how I sawmy career going. I really want to work in the forging industry now. It is something about the whole process that takes place that motivates me. I would like to be part of the design and manufacturing of metals.”
