WOMEN’S SCHOLARSHIP: Awards of up to $5,000 are awarded to full-time graduate and undergraduate students attending a two- or four- year college or university in the fields of engineering, business or a comparable area of study. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and be a citizen of the United States, Canada or Mexico. Willow Knight: I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you for selecting me for the Forging Industry Women’s Scholarship. I appreciate you placing your faith in me as a student and woman in forging. I also appreciate the work that FIERF does to encourage and empower women in the field. This scholarship will enable me to continue pursuing my passion in materials science and engineering and attain my master’s degree, while continuing my research for the forging industry. Georgia Hobday: family of six. Growing up with a father working in this industry has significantly influenced my educational and career aspirations, as I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of these opportunities for my family, and now for myself. As a determined college student, I am navigating through life with the hope that my hard work and dedication will be recognized. The Forging Foundation has not only acknowledged my efforts but also ignited a greater passion within me to accomplish remarkable things. I am truly honored to have been chosen among a pool of exceptional candidates, and I cannot thank you enough for this invaluable opportunity and recognition. I also want to express my admiration for the incredible work that this organization is doing. By changing the lives of many young adults, you are making a significant impact on our society. Scholarships have been a huge help throughout my college career and have allowed me to take more classes than I would normally be able to afford.
