EQUIPMENT & TECHNOLOGY
The results were impressive. The initial weight trials and produc tion runs closely matched the simulation, ensuring that the tooling performed as expected. The new tooling design has shown no signs of early wear, and the final part was free from the folds seen in earlier digital iterations. Additionally, the finish station extrudes material into the outboard and inboard flash, reducing stress on the tooling while ensuring the cavity fills completely. By harnessing advanced simulation and forging technologies, Viking Forge continues to provide innovative solutions to complex manu facturing challenges, setting a new standard for precision and reli ability in the industry.
