Superior Die Set Corporation Celebrates 95thAnniversary In September 2018, FIA member company Superior Die Set Corporation celebrated its 95th anniversary. Founded in 1923 by Kasimir Janiszewski, Superior Die Set Corporation is a manufacturer of die sets, mold bases, pins/ bushings, three platen presses, cut-and-ground machined plate, fabrications and forging products. In January 2019, FIA President and CEO JimWarren presented Superior Die Set Forging Products Division Manager Steve Janiszewski with a commemorativeplaque to recognize the company’s significant milestone.

International ForgingConsortiumReturns toChicago in 2020 The International Forging

Consortium (IFC) 2020 is scheduled to return to Chicago, Illinois, on September 20-22, 2020. This esteemed international event will feature research, development and operations presentation tracks as

well as an exhibition of leading suppliers in the forging industry. In addition, a variety of regional plant tours will be scheduled in locations throughout the United States. FIA’s planning committee is already at work assembling this one-of-a-kind immersion into forging technology applications in North America. IFC 2020 immediately follows IMTS 2020 the largest exhibition of machine tools and machining technology in the United States. Forging Industry Association to Host VIP Lounge for Members at Forge Fair 2019 The Forging Industry Association (FIA) is excited to announce that it will be hosting a members only VIP lounge at Forge Fair 2019. The VIP loungewill be attached to FIAbooth #645. All FIA members are welcome to come to the lounge to relax, recharge andnetworkwith their peers. The FIA VIP lounge will feature light refreshments and a complimentary charging station.
