FIERF’s First Summer Camp Was a Hit!

We are excited to host more camps in the future and have started working on plans for next year! The Forging Foundation (FIERF) held its first-ever Forge the Future Summer Camp July 10th and 11th at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) Advanced Technology Training Center (ATTC) in Cleveland, Ohio. There were 27 students aged 11-15 years old that attended the two-day summer camp to learn more about forging. There were several hands-on STEM activities that taught the campers about forging materials, equipment, and processes. Campers even had the opportunity to tour FIA Member company, Pursuit Aerospace! Some of the campers’ favorite things included the plant tour, the live hand forging demonstration, and the welding demonstration. It was such a fun experience to be able to expose the younger generations to the world of forging.
