The morning will progress with a series of presentations exploring diverse aspects of forging technology. A highlight will include Tushar Borkar, of Cleveland State Univer sity, who will present his research on "Opti mizing Forging Preform Production Using Additive Manufacturing Routes." After a productive morning, participants will reconvene for lunch and further explo ration of exhibitor table tops. The afternoon sessions will go further into detail on advanced topics such as wear life of hot forging tooling, lightweight alloy forging lubricants, and machine learning applications for defect detection in closed die forging processes. Notable presentations will include Jim Peplinski’s insights into "Extending Die Life by Reducing Surface Friction" and Mark Rhoa’s discussion on "Reducing Carbon Footprint with Improved Furnace Linings." As the conference draws to a close, Joseph Domblesky, PhD, from Marquette Univer About the 33rd Forging Technical Conference Host City: Erie, Pennsylvania Erie, Pennsylvania, the fifth-largest city in the state, sits on the shores of Presque Isle Bay along Lake Erie.
