• Technical Committee The Technical Committee is central to the advancement of forging technologies and techniques. The committee is engaged with FIERF Magnet Schools, and other educational institutions, in research and technology related projects and grants. This committee focuses on promoting innovation and exploring new technologies that can improve the forging process. Whether it's introducing new metallurgical advance ments, refining forging techniques, or integrating automa tion into manufacturing, this committee is vital for those who want to contribute to the technological evolution of the forging industry. • EHS/Safety Committee Safety is a paramount concern in the forging industry, and the Safety Committee addresses issues related to worker safety and health standards. This committee is responsible for promoting safe working environments, recommending safety guidelines, and ensuring that members adhere to the highest safety standards. Committee members contribute to shaping industry-wide practices that prevent accidents and injuries, making this an essential area for professionals passionate about workplace safety. • Lightweight Alloys Committee The Lightweight Alloys Committee focuses on the devel opment and use of lightweight alloys in forging processes. As industries like automotive and aerospace push for more efficient and lightweight materials, this committee explores how the forging sector can meet these demands. Members of the Lightweight Alloys Committee play a key role in identi fying new materials, developing best practices, and fostering research into alloys that can reduce weight while maintaining strength. • Mexico Advisory Committee & Canada Advisory Committee The Mexico and Canada Advisory Committees serve to strengthen FIA’s presence and influence in these two crucial markets. They address regional issues, such as trade policies, industry regulations, and local market dynamics, providing advice and support to members operating in these regions. For those with international business interests, joining either of these committees is a valuable way to stay informed about regional challenges and opportunities. • Next Gen Committee The Next Gen Committee is focused on engaging and mentoring the next generation of forging professionals. This includes initiatives aimed at younger professionals and students interested in forging technologies. • Women in Forging Committee The Women in Forging Committee seeks to empower and support women in the forging industry.
