Every piece of equipment has specific maintenance requirements and recommendations. To ensure the best possible outcome, it is recommended that a team be put in place to evaluate, analyze, and develop work instructions and procedures, and then provide clear and concise training so that all involved in the process can perform effectively and meet expectations. Other problems that might occur during the implementation process of new equipment and processes include a lack of a qualified workforce and resistance to automation. Many workers have concerns regarding automation and the elimination of their jobs by robots. Beliefs that are prevalent regarding the addition of robots and automation can have negative effects during implementation. The solution is effective communication with the workforce. The workforce will need to understand that automation will assist them in performing repetitive tasks and will remove current strenuous tasks, improving their lives. In addition, employees will receive training to be able to use the equipment properly. This will increase their skill sets and give them the opportunity to better themselves and improve their income and positions within the company.
