Heating Technology for ForgingWorkshop December 13-14, 2022 – Independence, Ohio or Virtual

The FIA Heating Technology for Forging Workshop is a two-day training that includes gas heating for forging and induction heating for forging. Registrants can attend the workshop in-person or sign-up to join virtually via Zoom. Attendees are welcome to register for the entire workshop or for an individual day. Lunch and networking reception are included with in-person registration. The in-person workshop sessions take place at the New FIA Headquarters, 6363 Oak Tree Blvd, Independence, OH 44131. The virtual participants will join via ZoomWebinars, and a calendar invite with the Zoom link will be provided prior to the workshop.

Join your forging industry peers for the FIA Midwest Meeting of Members taking place at Bystronic, Inc. This event will provide a great opportunity for you to network and get an update on what’s happening in the industry, while also enjoying lunch and the Bystronic, Inc. Showroom. Fundamentals of Forging 101Workshop January 25, 2023 – Chicagoland, Illinois FIA is excited to welcome back W.L Bud Kinney to instruct our Fundamentals of Forging 101 following the Midwest Meeting of Members. This workshop will teach the fundamentals of the forging process in language the attendees can understand, regardless of their experience level. As technology advances, it is becoming more important for buyers and forging professionals to understand the science behind the forging process and how it compares to other processes such as castings, weldments, or machining from bar. The workshop will also cover how forgings are made, and how quality is added through each step of the forging process. Lobby Day February 1-2, 2023 –Washington, DC Lobby Day provides an opportunity for you to discuss key industry issues that directly impact your business with your congressional leaders in Washington, D.C. Key topics for discussion include fair trade, workforce development and infrastructure. FIA’s lobby firm will be organizing meetings with key members of the U.S. House and Senate along with leading Lobby Day attendees to visit Capitol Hill. This partnership allows FIA to expand its’ reach on Capitol Hill immensely. Forging Lightweight Alloys Conference &Plant Tour March 6-8, 2023 – Henderson, Nevada The Forging Lightweight Alloys Conference will cover topics including lightweight materials, OEM needs, advancements in technology, equipment for lightweight forging, post-forging processes and more. The conference will take place at the Westin Lake Las Vegas, and feature a golf outing and plant tour at TIMET. The call for papers is now open.
